Finally, launched my first collection of poetry – Bone Ink – last Friday at Gleebooks in Sydney! The picture above is from the launch. Still feeling like I got away with something…
The collection is available here
Here’s where I start to bombard you all with convincing arguments to buy a copy of the book. I’ll start with Michelle Cahill’s blurb. Michelle is a fantastically talented poet, prose writer and critic. There’s info about her work and books here. Seek it out, she’s champion of a diverse range of writing, and a wonderfully inventive and thoughtful writer. Michelle kindly write a blurb for BONE INK:
Urban, decadent, dystopian; in Rico Craig’s Western Suburbs there are many countries, caliphates, Terracotta warriors and Arctic shelves. With ‘the taste of a derelict future,’ his working class songs and spells have a political consciousness that is unafraid to be mythopoetic. Bone Ink is a fine debut from a poet to watch, whose work has already crossed national borders.

Chapeau!
